Mutual Aid Agreement

The Mutual Aid committee submitted a letter to the Emergency Management Division of South Carolina seeking confirmation of interpretation where IT and GIS fit into the statewide Mutual Aid Agreement. The two are part of the Agreement located at http://www.scemd.org/Library/mutual_aid/mutual.html . The committee is currently sending letters to the Municipal Association and the Association of Counties to notify them this fact.

The Job Titles committee has developed a matrix for GIS positions from GIS Technician to Geographic Information Officer. The matrix includes title by application with summary description, typical required qualifications, and characteristic job responsibilities.
